Over the years, golf has evolved into a Power Game and everybody wants more power!  It’s gotten to the point where many of the greatest courses in the world have become obsolete because the technology has the ball going further than ever before, and consequently, many courses have gotten too short.

No doubt about it, nearly EVERYBODY wants more power – especially our seniors who usually find that their drives are getting shorter and their handicaps getting higher.  The formula for distance is Mass X Velocity Squared – which means that the faster club the head speed coupled with how much mass goes into the shot, will create longer drives.

The secret here is to have Strong Legs and Flexible Hips that will shift the weight and rotate the torso effectively.  THAT IS WHY I PREACH FLEXIBILITY AND  STRENGTHENING  ‘First and Foremost’ to improve one’s body.

There’s also another way that will strengthen the body and create greater weight transfer and body rotation, and that’s the Power SWING FAN – demonstrated in the video clip above.  Swinging this GREAT device several times a day will definitely increase your power – and get your drives headed in a Longer Direction! I cannot play video on my iPad due to a Privacy setting, but can play them on desk top.why is that?

Roger ,I train with the  POWER FAN every day I don't play ion the golf course(I play 18 holes 3 times a week );I Swing the POWER FAN 100 times in a rowIt's a very effective way to train to swing with the lower body and "POWERLESS ARMS "(PAUL WILSON ) ,but it's not enough to acheive dstance :to do so you have to train to increase  your speedI work on my speed with the SUPERSPEED STICKS of MIKE NAPOLEON,which is an underweight /overweight /overspeed /underspeed training with four different 'sticks "Heavy,Medium ,Light ,Very Light .I also train with the MOMENTUS SWING WHOOSH and with rubber bands across the hips (THE POWER HIP ROTATOR ) All this has substancially developed my dstance ,but I'm far from being a "long driver";Do you know of other ways of developing speed in your swing ?

Raymond, THE BEST way to develop; more speed and power is by creating more flexibility and STRENGTH.  Weight Lifting WHEN the body is ready for it will definitley give you more strength - as will high intensive cardiovascular interval speed training ( Google HIIT).Here's another way:  Get a very light stick (like an alignment rod) a Medium weighted stick (like a golf club) then a heavy club - like the Momentus.4, or Powerf Swing Fan.  Then :1).  Get on your knees and swing the light shaft 5 X Right Handed - and 5 X Left Handed - then repeat with the Medium weighted club (5X ea way) then the Heavy Club 5X each way.2).  Then stand up and repeat the sequence i.e. 5 each way light - 5 each way medium - and 5 each way heavy.Do this 5 or 6 days a week for 30 days and I guarantee you - you 4'll definitely develop more power.
