It’s very easy for your putting stroke to get out of sorts and get ‘choppy’. This can manifest by cutting your Back Stroke off too soon – stabbing at the ball, breaking your wrists down, etc. On those days when I just don’t seem to have my Rhythm and Feel, I’ll take the Putter and turn it upside down, then make a few practice strokes emphasizing the Arms and Shoulders.
Doing this a few times helps develop the feel and take control of the my Putting Stroke. Although this drill is ridiculously easy, it’s incredibly effective and will help you in making a smooth and uninterrupted stroke.
