This pose is excellent for developing function (mobility and stability) in your legs as well as creating bilateral hip activity on both sides of your torso. Like the Triangle, it increases range of motion in the muscles of your sides (lats and obliques), as well as developing strength in your legs, which will help create greater ease in trunk rotation and synchronize all of the body’s major muscle group.
