When it all comes down to it, Golf (like Life) is all about F-E-E-L, and there is No Doubt that the nature of golf is to try to ‘Think Too Much’. I think the main reason that golf is that way is because it’s not a reactionary sport – ie, where the ball is moving and you don’t have time to ‘Think’ as you are moving into it.
Having worked on the Golf Swings and Bodies of legions of great players, my experience has taught me that great players don’t Think about their swings when they’re making a shot compared to amateurs who tend to often lose focus and put their mind’s energy into their swings – and not the shot they have to play.
The first thing that I feel must occur, is that a golfer has to SEE the shot – either the flight of the ball OR the actual target spot. It seems like great players all of their own way of doing this, but regardless are sending their energy OUT towards the target – and not into their swings.
REMEMBER, THE EYES ARE THE WINDOWS TO THE BRAIN!
-Once you SEE the shot, then imagine the F-E-E-L you need to make the shot come off the way you intended.
In today’s video, I’m showing you a couple of ways you can learn the Feel of the shot during your practice sessions – and then retain the feel as you take it to the course.
