MUSCLES control bones, and How muscles function also determine our golf swing patterns. (Yes, our emotions also play a big part in this but we won’t get into them today). Therefore, if a person has Tight or Imbalanced Muscles, their golf swing will be Tight and Imbalanced. And conversely, if a person has ample Flexibility, their golf swings will be smooth and free.
On this line of thinking, if a person has a very tight Right Hip or Shoulder, their chances of Coming ‘Over the Top’ will be greatly enhanced. My feeling is, instead of ‘Just’ working on Golf Swing Mechanics to fix the Over the Top, why not get to the Source of the problem, and loosen up the Tight Muscle Imbalances in the hips and shoulders – along with the entire muscle chains.
