You’re Never Too Old To Improve Your Flexibility

AS YOU’RE GETTING OLDER, ARE YOUR DRIVES GETTING SHORTER?? IS YOUR HANDICAP GETTING HIGHER??

IF YOU IMPROVE YOUR FLEXIBILITY, YOUR GOLF SWING WILL STAY YOUNG FOREVER!!

Years ago at one of my Golf Schools, an elderly gentleman approached me for a lesson and introduce himself to me.  He immediately told me that his MAIN Objective was to get more distance – and like the majority of senior golfers, he was losing distance every year he got older.

I asked him, “How much distance would you like to gain?  Do you want to hit it as far as Tiger Woods?”    He said ‘Of course Not, I’ll never be able to hit it as far as Tiger!”  I said ‘Why Not?” He looked at me and said, “Because he’s a kid – he’s more than half my age”.  I said (with a straight face), “So What does that mean?”  He said, it means that he’s got more flexibility than me, he’s stronger and quicker.”  I then said, ‘Oh OK, so if we got you more Flexibility and a few simple things to do to get stronger, then you’d hit it farther too?”  He then pondered my statement and said, “Well I guess so, but I’m close to 80 years old – aren’t I too old to get more flexible?”  And like I say all the time——

EVERYBODY NO MATTER WHAT THE AGE CAN IMPROVE THE RANGE OF MOTION IN THEIR BODY’S  – IF THEY STRETCH THE RIGHT MUSCLES – THE RIGHT WAY!

I’m sharing this story because most people think that improving their swing mechanics will make them a better golfer – but forget that their Flexibility will improve their bodies – and therefore improve their swing mechanics.
